Kellogg's DIY PPE Visor

Children's Make Your Own Covid-19 Visor with Coco Pops

Challenge

Can we get more value out of packaging?  Can we make packaging do more and offer a secondary purpose during this pandemic. The Covid-19 pandemic has affected people of all ages from all walks of life and has essentially changed everyones daily routines.   With children being cooped up indoors,  short attention spans and lack of activities and hands on stimulation can make the whole family frustrated.
Children, amongst the pandemic ,are probably the most confused age group where they do not fully grasp the gravitass or the reason why so many rules and restrictions are in place.   As the restrictions slowly lift and children start returning to schools, can major brand's help aid this in a fun, hands on way.

Value

Imagine a cereal brand that not only provides your child with a nutritious breakfast but also cares enough to make sure your child is safe during this pandemic.
The Kellogg's DIY PPE visor pack creates a hands on activity for you kid's to keep them occupied with a useful hands on craft activity like the good old days that they can use when they go back to school.
Kellogg's understand that keeping a child entertained can be tough.  The DIY PPE visor pack's aim is to incorporate fun and function at the same time, teaching kids the importance of social distancing, washing your hands and the purpose of visors in a hands on activities that they can share with their friends.
Each pack comes with a different illustration of Coco the monkey so there are different variants of the visor.   We repurpose the box the create a secondary use teaching kids the importance of up cycling and bringing back hand craft.   The pack contains a sticker pack with glue strips, adhesive foam padding, a selection of bespoke stickers ( some bespoke so you can colour your own) and a elastic band of different sizes.  Everything you need to make a child friendly visor is contained in the one coral pack.

This not only provides an engaging activity for the child during lockdown but a opportunity to educate them in the importance of safety &hygiene when out or back at school as well a incorporation a narrative of up cycling.

The aim of the Kellogg's DIY PPE visor cereal pack is to introduce children to hands on, problem solving craft, in a fun and engaging way for all the family with their favourite cereal brands as not to rely on digital media as the only source of entertainment.
