To design a limited edition travel retail packaging for the Australian market which elevated the Jim Beam brand and embody the brand image of its whiskey as well as it's heritage. The proposition was limited in quantity with a retail value of $200-$300 AUS for 4 bottles.
The challenge was to tell the Jim Beam story utilising just the packaging in a high trafficking and highly competitive travel retail environment by capturing consumer interest within milliseconds.
A simple fold out design inspired by the fold out motion of retro tool kits. This allows the bottles to be displayed in unison for travel retail purposes but each compartment tells a brief variant, ingredient and provenance story.
The pack is made from heavy duty wrapped board for a premium gifting experience, where the texture of faux leather lines the outside utilising a magnetic, Jim Beam branded belt buckle to fasten the pack together.
A gold signature, branded ribbon premiumises the pack when closed.
Each insert is colour coded to represent the different variants.
