Brand's 2018 Chinese New Year Packaging

Challenge

Brand's is rich in heritage and science with a loyal consumer base that has grown up with the brand.  Unique to Asia it is a product that generations have grown up with and trust.   The challenge was to redesign the whole gifting structural design range with this just being a small example.
Working with a talented illustrator for the 2018 KV, a simple yet functional canvas was needed to do the storytelling, whilst maintaining elements of a gifting layered experience of discovery, amplifying the droplet.

Made from premium card, maintaining the layered discovery of gifting, this piece of packaging allows Brand's the opportunity to tell a provenance, ingredients or festive story.   
A simple yet cost effective solution for this price point whilst premiumising the look and feel of the product.  The KV and brand mark is hot foiled and debossed, giving a contrast to the satin matt card finish.
The whole concept of layered discovery is carried out from initial touchpoint to the POS enhancing and amplifying the brand assets.
The idea was to create a layered chocolate box experience, dialling up the storytelling aspect of the brand heritage, provenance and ingredients and their significance.
