Designing a nutritious and energetic snack that athletes could take in their bag or pocket that would limit breakage.
The product as well as the packaging needed to be on brand but still have a new gatorade edge.
Value
The fuel bar is engineered in a way that when in a vacuum packed it can tesselate and move without the biscuit breaking a bit like an armadillo's shell. In between is a fruit energy layer giving the athlete extra boost in energy but also act like a flexible hinge..
This offers a unique aesthetic as well as functionality and answers the consumer insight on bars and biscuits which crumble and break when in transportation. With the gatorade breakaway bar this will not be an issue.
